The Healing Art of Sacred Writing Retreat will be held at Quinta Caravalas in Central Portugal.
The retreat space is surrounded by farmland, entering the area you will be surrounded by nature and animals.
We will have exclusive access to the space. You will enjoy the privacy of your room and well as the common indoor spaces, a pool, a Zen garden, a short trail to a pond with a deck.
There is a 300€ non-refundable deposit that goes towards the full price of the retreat.
Full price due July 10th, 2024:
Private room: 2099€ ($ 2276/£1788)
Shared room: 1689€ ($1831/£1438)

Pre-retreat you will receive a pdf workbook to jumpstart your sacred writing journey.
We will also meet over zoom to get to know each other and answer any questions before the retreat.
As the retreat leaders, we intent to provide a beautiful, safe space for creative women on healing and spiritual journeys.
Whether you name yourself a writer or not, you can access the tools and medicine writing provides.

For our retreat if you cancel:
60 days or more:
You will receive a refund of what has been paid minus 150€ for the admin fee. The deposit is non-refundable.
59 to 30 days before:
You will receive 20% of what you paid minus the non-refundable deposit
29 days or less before the retreat:
No refund.
We highly suggest that you purchase travel insurance before the retreat.

Located an hour away from Lisbon, we will provide transfers to and from the Lisbon Airport between 12 pm-2 pm on August 20th.
If you arrive earlier than 12 pm you can wait for our airport transfer or get to the retreat center on your own by taking public transportation. We can arrange pick-up at the local train station if needed.
You may also decide to drive to the Quinta, free parking is available.

The retreat check-in starts at 3pm on August 20th, 2024 and check-out is at 11am, August 25th, 2024. We will leave right after check-out to the airport.
You will have unlimited water, coffee and tea throughout this alcohol-free retreat.
Breakfast is served buffet style and includes lots of fresh fruit, homemade muesli, (vegan) yoghurt, juices, artisanal bread, croissants, (vegan) cheeses and a daily rotation of hot items.
Lunch and dinner are served plated and include: a starter, main course and dessert + a glass of juice and coffee or tea.
The first meal that is included on the day of arrival is dinner, the last meal on the day of departure is breakfast.
Please let us know on the form what kind of dietary restrictions you have and we will try to accommodate your needs.
We have 4 private rooms and 8 shared rooms available for this retreat. We have space for 16 women to participate. The shared rooms are for 2 people.
Yes! We will be more than happy to accommodate that for you. We have a section on the application form with this question.
We open our retreat to girls and women 17 years old or older. Right now we do not have the capacity to welcome younger children. In the future this may be a possibility if there is enough interest.
Central Portugal is hot in August. The rooms and venues at Quinta Caravalhas feature climate control systems. Although, the rooms aren't air conditioned the public indoor spaces are. We will have pool time at the retreat and you are welcome to take a dip during any of the breaks.
